Just a note from Bette to thank you, once again, for your dedication to jAm and his music. I hope some of you will be in Nashville to meet with him this year, unfortunately I can't be there. Here's a news flash for all his fans who may have forgotten. "Happy Birthday john Arthur, Happy Birthday to you". Yep, it comes around each year at the same time ;o) Now to end my note I'll ask you to go to
www.johnarthurmartinez.net to check out his entirely new site. It's wonderful and easy to navigate ... I think you'll love it as much as I do. Keep hangin' in there please. Blessings, Bette

The musical road traveled by Texas-born Martinez has been long and arduous, but every dip and turn — and detour, such as the one he took that led to a second-place finish on TV’s “Nashville Star” in 2003 — has enhanced and infused his singing and songwriting. From both family and famous musical influences absorbed as a kid to college coffee-house gigs that cemented his destiny to perform, his unflagging enthusiasm, talent and quiet charm have served him well.
Now, with an upcoming release, Martinez continues flying down the highway: having performed at the Grand Ole Opry and across the United States and Europe with the likes of Pat Green, Dwight Yoakum, Todd Snider (his college friend), Randy Travis, Rueben Ramos, Randy Rogers and Asleep at the Wheel; and trips to Nashville that resulted in the co-writing with Alex Harvey and Mike Blakely of “Seguro Que Hell Yes,” which landed on Flaco Jimenez self-titled GRAMMY Award-winning album.
His own CDs include the independently released SPINNING OUR WHEELS (1998) and STAND YOUR GROUND (2001) and LONE STARRY NIGHT (2004), which features “A House Made of Stone,” one of the original compositions he introduced on “Nashville Star.”
Because of his extensive background in tennis, Martinez enjoys giving of his time and talent to international efforts by the Andy Roddick Foundation.
Interview times are available as well as press kits and review CDs.
