I'm not sure why that should be the title but it does seem like I have forgotten most of your birthdays over the past year! As many of you know I still check and respond to both MySpace sites and Twitter too, but FaceBook has become the internet tool which seems to be the most effective way to reach folks who truly care about what I do, my family, our well-being.

But, I don't ever want to take lightly all of you in the trenches who have kept their faith in me since first seeing me on Nashville Star, or in Bette's case years before NS. So Happy Birthday to all the January through December birthdays. Did I miss anyone?

The new album is out September 15th. Americana radio, Texas radio, Internet radio, Satellite radio, and international radio have begun to play me in advance of the street date. If you Google john Arthur martinez + purgatory road you'll find many reviews out there--all positive so far. On FaceBook and my official website we've posted the iphone ap link, as well as advance tracks you can hear. You can preorder the album at BestBuy.com and Amazon.com.

So the time is now to mobilize all my diehard friends and fans. As I've told many of you in direct correspondences you can be very effective with Internet based stations that play me--it's a double whammy if that station also has a land base like KFAN, texasrebelreadio.com. If you live near an Americana station request the album by name and one of the tracks. If you live near a Texas Chart station you may call them and request “Utopia.” And, please tell your friends, bloggers, message boards, etc. online at Country Weekly, CMT, GAC, etc. etc. about my new Apache Ranch Records release, Purgatory Road.
